Lovely Lustful Lace

Lace isn't only for the bedroom anymore. Tastefully flash some skin with some flirty and playful lace. With its intricate design, wearing lace makes sure that all eyes are on you.

This trend is possible one of my favorites. It's sexy, yet elegant and perfect for day or night. I just bought this adorable Free People tunic for a formal event a couple of months back and I try to wear it as much as possible. Here's a picture of it to the left. Since I bought it a while ago, it was a little different. It didn't have a hole in the back, but that was fine since it was super short. I paired it with a pair of nude heels, which completed the look.

Here are some other cute ideas on how to wear lace anytime of the day!
~ Wear a lace dress with simple jewelry and heels
~Wear a lace legging with some simple basics like a long  top with a long tight or flowy vest
~Wear a lace vest with some jeans or cute dress
~Wear lace heels with a simple outfit to make your shoes pop
~ Wear a lace skirt with a chic top
~ Wear a gorgeous lace blazer on a chic pants or simple skirt

I so want to try this outfit to the right. I love pairing shorts with a flowly top, and what a better idea to add lace to it. Lace shorts will definitely be on my next on my shopping list.

As you can see, lace is very versitile and can fit into anyone's daily style. Go ahead. Be lovely and lust for lace. It will be worth it. xoxo

Say 'High', to High-Waisted Shorts!

If there's one item of clothing you can expect to see on the West Coast, it's shorts. Perfect for SoCal weather, shorts are an essential to every girl's closet. But right now, one particular type seems to be especially trending - high-waisted shorts. They'll make any girl's legs look instantly longer, and are the perfect thing to pair with a crop top or a tucked in sheer blouse. The dressier alternative to low-rise shorts, these can take any casual outfit up a step in terms of class and sophistication. Honestly, it's impossible not to look stylish in these! In coral or turquoise they make legs look tan, and paired with a blazer and tights underneath, they are perfect for a summer night on the pier. The proportions leave just enough room for fun floral patterns and colors to look good while still showing some skin.

Even better, high-waisted shorts are the perfect DIY project! Finally put use to those awkward jeans from middle school by just cutting the pants to mid-thigh and rolling them up, or cutting them right where you want and letting them fray. Add a leather belt and tuck in a button-down collared shirt for a cheap and flattering outfit.

COVER ME CRAZY

It's 95 degrees outside and you're trying not to get sun spots all over your face. So what do you do? You put on a hat! But these days, hats are no longer just a cancer-preventer but an accessory. A statement. A piece that perfectly ties an outfit together whether it's boiling hot in California or freezing cold on the East coast. Well then you may ask, what kind of hats am I talking about? But if I listed all the different styles of hats to choose from depending on the occasion or temperature outside, you would sit there hoping that you never read this blog. So how about we focus on just a couple of the most popular hats among adolescents nowadays.

Do hats serve a real purpose? Or are they just a frivolous accessory? Well the truth is that hats dated back to the Middle Ages when women were forced to cover their hair. It evolved through time into bonnets during the 18th century, then during the 20th century, their size grew larger and larger.

What hat is both stylish and protective for any girl on hot summer’s day? The answer is obviously none other than the classic floppy hat! It’s first purpose is to cover the your face—where the most sensitive skin is at. And second, to make you stand out among any crowd. Wear your favorite burgundy wide-brimmed accessory to the beach, the outdoor mall, or down New York City’s Time’s  Square. Whatever outfit you decided to wear that day will be completed with the touch of this hat.

What about a more casual look? For all the tomboys out there, a simple baseball cap has always been her best friend. But nowadays, all the other girls are wearing the same thing. Snapbacks can be found in any girl’s closet. It’s a quick on-the-go accessory that’s perfect for going to a theme park, watching your little brother’s soccer game, or blocking the rain from your face when you don’t have a hoodie or an umbrella at hand. These classic caps are not to go out of style anytime soon.

What's cute, crocheted, and has been popular since the early 2000’s? It's none other than the beanie! It’s true, girls can’t get enough of these knitted accessories. They were originally meant for boys to wear as part of a trend. You could find groups of skaters wearing their Ruca-branded beanies wherever they went. Snowboarders and skiers sported these accessories the best in their prospective regions. But the fact that it was a guy thing to begin with didn’t stop girls from rocking these kinds of hats. The perfect outfit for a teenage girl in the wintertime would be her gold-buttoned blazer, her skin-tight black jeggings, high leather boots, and of course, to top it all off, her finely knitted beanie. Cute and cozy is exactly what a girl’s  aim is.

And here is a how to wear a hat tutorial from the manager at Goorin Brothers. Enjoy!

Sexy Summer Swimwear

Summer is right around the corner and it's time to work on those bombshell summer bods. This year there are quite a few styles perfect for any occasion and any body type. So let's show off some skin!

History continues to repeat itself with the increasingly popularity of its 1950s swimwear. High-waisted bottoms, sweetheart and halter necklines, and fuller-cupped tops are all prominent elements of this timeless style.

Don't want an awkward tan? Keep your vintage style bikini only for special occasions and try out a cute, flirty ruffle suit to play up your girlish curves. Victoria's Secret has a lot of choice to choose from including this adorable one.

My favorite style of all is the crochet bikini. It emanates a relaxed, yet sexy feeling. It is surely an eye-catcher with its intricate design. The only thing I must warn is that it takes longer to dry, but that won't be too much of a problem under the summer sun. I am absolutely in love with this Free People one piece.

With that in mind, there is no right or wrong style. All that matters is that it makes you feel good both inside and out. Confidence is the sexiest thing a woman can have. So have fun and always remember to  put on lots of sunscreen! :)
